First of all, thank you for visiting my blog! It is a working progress and I am new to blogging so you will have to bare with me! But, who is ME?
So I am a qualified physiotherapist specialising in sports and musculoskeletal injuries (basically, the person who is walking and twists their ankle will come see me). I graduated from King’s College London in 2014 and I love what I do! I still live in London and I work for the Westminster Physiotherapy and Pilates Centre and then part time for a semi-professional rugby team, Esher Rugby Club. I am a qualified Pilates instructor, and I teach these classes at my clinic.
Although I am originally from Canterbury, Kent; I was on my first plane at the age of 2 weeks old and have lived abroad until the age of 18. At the age of 10, I moved to Dubai with my family and lived their until I was 18. Yes, Dubai can be a glamourous city but it is a whole different experience to live there. None-the-less, I give it praise for grooming my lifestyle into being an active one.
The aims of my blog is to teach! I love to learn. As nerdy as that sounds, I adore it. Obviously not all learning… I’m afraid quantum mechanics just ain’t my thing. But coming from a science background, I love to know the science behind the human body, behind fitness, behind nutrition, behind how the mind works. All of it! So if I can enlighten and encourage some of you reading my blog as I am learning, then I count that as a successful blog.
My promise is that within all my posts I will always be
- As open minded as I can be (however, personal opinion will always have an element)
- Thrive on my passion for learning and pass information on as well as I can
- Constantly try and answer any questions
- Use research, information and studies that are up-to-date, interesting and appropriate
So please, if you have an questions! Please ask! Or even any advice, collaborations or information that I could find useful, let me know. As I’ve said, I am always wanting to learn!
